Challenges
The current AU101 app had several challenges that affected user experience, performance, and engagement. We were entrusted with redesigning the platform to enhance the overall experience, focusing on creating a more intuitive, efficient, and visually cohesive interface that meets modern user expectations. Here are some key areas that needed improvement:

Cluttered and Confusing Dashboard: The dashboard displayed too many features without logical grouping or prioritization, making navigation difficult. Clear categorization & an enhanced search functionality were needed to improve accessibility.

Poor Discoverability and Visibility: Users struggled to discover the available services and offers, with no clear indication of what they can do within the app. This led to frustration and poor retention rates.

Hidden Key Actions: Essential actions, such as viewing balances, card details, or making transactions were hidden behind multiple clicks, adding friction to user interactions.

Outdated Interface: The interface needed an upgrade to align with contemporary UI standards to boost engagement and retention.

We conducted a 2-hour workshop with members from PM, design, tech, and business teams to dive deep into the app’s goals and lay the foundation for an engaging and intuitive user experience.

We created a responsive design system with over 25+ components, ensuring a seamless experience across two visual modes.

Light mode, the dominant theme across the app, features a light background that aligns with the brand’s orange color.

Dark mode is applied in specific sections to introduce the brand’s purple color and explore the potential of a broader dark theme implementation.
All components were carefully designed to work flawlessly across both modes, prioritizing accessibility and adherence to color guidelines. Additionally, we designed a set of custom icons for the app, tailored to maintain a cohesive and distinctive visual identity throughout the app.

Accounts & Cards
The card wallet allows the users easily manage their cards in one place. It provides a clear view of all their cards, with options to view details, set limits, block/unblock cards, and take other essential actions, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience.
