The Adani Capital Application serves as an instrumental tool in empowering the Indian farming community. This application grants farmers access to a diverse range of resources, including educational materials, government policies, and essential financial services such as credit lines and insurance options. Effectively consolidating a previously fragmented ecosystem, the app offers a comprehensive, one-stop solution, equipping farmers with the necessary knowledge to make informed decisions.

Challenges
Due to a lack of digital infrastructure & lower digital literacy, farmers often struggle to access knowledge about government schemes & policies. Furthermore, a secondary challenge revolved around the heavy reliance of farmers on intermediaries and local credit providers for crop sales and credit lines, respectively. The involvement of these intermediaries and local players created barriers for institutional lenders seeking to establish a foothold in the region.
App specific considerations
Limited Bandwidth
Rural areas often have poor internet, so it was essential to design apps that work well with low bandwidth or offline.
Language and Literacy
Most rural users in India aren't fluent in English, so we designed the app to support local languages with simple text and icons.
Low End Smartphones
Many rural users lack smartphones, and those who have them often use low-end devices. So, we designed the app to work on low-end mobile OS versions.

The app simplifies access for local farmers to government subsidies and financial aid, including loans for essential farm equipment like tractors and harvesters, available at their fingertips.
Wholesale Price at Fingertips
Empowers local farmers to effortlessly find the best wholesale prices at nearby Mandis, giving them the tools to make well-informed decisions on the optimal time and location to sell their produce, ensuring they maximize their earnings and strengthen their financial stability

Demographic based Crop & Farm Advisory
India's diverse demography results in varied crop production across regions throughout the year. The app provides tailored learning modules, guiding farmers on optimal practices for crops based on distinct weather and geographical conditions.
Simplified EMI Payments, On the Go
Farmers can now pre-pay their loan installments online via internet banking or UPI, offering a secure and easy way to manage payments without visiting the bank. This feature helps maintain sufficient bank balance, preventing EMI bounces and avoiding penalties for missed payments, making loan management more convenient.
